Daria and her daughter Ori banter and cook local specialties such as hand-pounded pesto, anchovies fished at Monterosso, fresh pastas, and a variety of dishes highlighting porcini mushrooms. Raised in the hills above the Cinque Terra, Daria tells stories of the Second World War, and of her family preparing salt and bashing octopi on the cliffs above the sea.
